Virtual Class (link to follow)

In this workshop I’ll be illustrating why your visual identity and graphics matter when it comes to making a lasting impact with the audience you want to reach. We’ll go over how graphic design is a crucial part of activism and organizing, dive into what makes up a successful design, and explore how our design work can better engage communities for lasting change. This workshop will be primarily lecture-focused, with an hour long talk and presentation followed by 15 minutes for question-and-answers.

This workshop is a part of a sliding scale three-part virtual workshop series geared towards non-designers that aims to bring clarity and ease to the sometimes mystifying world of graphic design. This is a great starting point for anyone looking to level up their graphic design skills, even if you’ve got zero design experience. These workshops were created for activists, organizers, artists, and anyone working towards encouraging lasting change for a more beautiful and equitable world. Each workshop comes with a free .pdf of the presentation as well as a list of resources.

Pricing for these workshops is sliding scale. I offer four tiers of sliding scale per session:
Pro Bono Tier: $0
Sliding Scale Tier: $15
Supporter Tier: $30
Super Supporter Tier: $45
I ask that if you can afford to pay for a ticket that you please do so, as 50% of proceeds from these workshops will go towards HIAS Pennsylvania, an organization that provides legal and social services to low-income and at-risk immigrants and refugees.
