from $0.00

February 12th, 2026

Virtual Class (link to follow)

In the second workshop of the series, we’ll be starting from square one and digging into the basics of graphic design. I’ll cover graphic design elements and principles (the tools of your design toolbox), and we’ll touch on font basics and color psychology as well. This workshop will also include basics on designing with a focus on accessibility for those with visual impairments and/or neurodivergent minds. This workshop will be a one-hour long presentation with space for questions and answers after each section.

This workshop is a part of a sliding scale three-part virtual workshop series geared towards non-designers that aims to bring clarity and ease to the sometimes mystifying world of graphic design. This is a great starting point for anyone looking to level up their graphic design skills, even if you’ve got zero design experience. These workshops were created for activists, organizers, artists, and anyone working towards encouraging lasting change for a more beautiful and equitable world. Each workshop comes with a free .pdf of the presentation as well as a list of resources.

Pricing for these workshops is sliding scale. I offer four tiers of sliding scale per session:
Pro Bono Tier: $0
Sliding Scale Tier: $15
Supporter Tier: $30
Super Supporter Tier: $45
I ask that if you can afford to pay for a ticket that you please do so, as 50% of proceeds from these workshops will go towards HIAS Pennsylvania, an organization that provides legal and social services to low-income and at-risk immigrants and refugees.
